The citizens from Berovo for the regulation of the town square Dimitar Berovski

The ground floor regulation at the central town area – town square Dimitar Berovski is the project that was selected by the citizens of Berovo at the fifth forum session held on 18 November at the Hunting Lodge restaurant. The 82 citizens selected one programme of the total of five that were presented by a representative of the municipal administration – energy efficiency, town planning, local development and international cooperation, construction of local streets and roads and regulation of construction land.  The citizens of Berovo selected the programme for regulation of the construction land and the project worth nine millions and three hundred thousand denars.  The total budget for the municipality of Berovo amounts to eight million denars. The municipality participates with two million denars while six millions are donated by the Swiss Agency for development and cooperation (SDC).  The Mayor of Berovo – Dragi Najinski committed that the municipality will provide the additional one million and three hundred thousand.  He congratulated the participants on their selection and pointed out that the municipal administration will immediately begin with the process of implementation.  The priorities that were proposed by the citizens at the forum session and were included in the annual programmes of the municipality for the following year are within the frame of the proposals for the regulation of the construction land (capital projects), construction of a water supply system, run-off and treatment of the atmospheric waters maintenance and refurbishment of primary schools and kindergartens, energy efficiency and town planning documentation outside populated areas.  The budget forums as part of the Community Forums Programme include discussions and proposals for allocation of the budget assets at the municipality.  Apart from Berovo, the budget forums at this stage are also taking place in Strumica and Debar.
