Proposal – solutions in Krusevo

The third forum session in Krusevo as part of the Community Forums Programme took place on 25 November at the Home for retired persons and was attended by 98 citizens from the municipality. The work groups used pictures, slides and descriptions during their presentation and descriptions of the problems and analised the priority issues within the frames of the four problem groups that were defined at the second Forum. The presentations addressed the following issues. “Improper waste collection, illegal landfills and low level of environmental awareness”, “Water supply and wastewater drainage”, “Urban infrastructure” and “Construction and repairs to the road infrastructure”.  The first group emphasized that the fact the landfill visible from all sides damages the reputation of Krusevo as a tourist location. Another major issue is the lack of waste collection and transport vehicle. The representative of the second group spoke on the grave problem with access to water in Krusevo despite the fact that Krusevo and its surrounding area have great water potential. The third group analyzed the problems with the urban infrastructure that were emphasized by the citizens, primarily the town square with parking space and the open market. The representative of the fourth group pointed out to several streets such as “Taki Berber”, “Mise Eftim”, “Kiro Fetak” and “Ilindenska” that are most critical and whose reconstruction is top priority. The persistence of the problems that Krusevo has with the streets leaves bad image not only for the locals but also for the tourists that visit Krusevo. The work groups that were formed based on the five proposed solutions will prepare the proposal – concepts. The proposal solutions that were determined were Waste treatment in the municipality Krusevo, Solving the problem with the dirt roads in the village Bucin, reconstruction of the streets “Taki Berberot”, “Mise Eftim” and “Kiro Fetak”, Asphalting the street “Kiro Fetak” in Krusevo and construction of a town market in Krusevo. The total budget for the municipality of Bogovinje amounts to four million denars. The municipality participates with one million denars while three millions are donated by the Swiss Agency for development and cooperation (SDC).
