gostivar_1.jpgThe second session of the Community Forums Programme organized by the Center for Institutional Development (CIRa) and the Municipality Gostivar, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, was held on Wednesday in Gostivar, where citizens identified the main problems related to infrastructure.

Ten working tables were created (culture, youth, sports, business sector, retirees, students, kindergartens, medicine, environment, agriculture), the participants of which identified main infrastructural problems, focusing on works on the Vardar riverbank, expansion of the Brakja Ginovski Boulevard, reconstruction works on medical facilities, as well as other issues.
This session also created the teams that would research these issues and provide information about the actions needed to address them.
The Community Forums Programme enables citizens to decide by themselves, through their participation, where to invest the funds awarded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Municipality Gostivar.gostivar_3.jpg
The funds available for realization of these projects amount to MKD 6 million, of which MKD 4 million are a donation from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, while MKD 2 million are a contribution by the municipality Gostivar.
The second session was attended by 84 citizens of different age, gender, religion and ethnicity, while the first session was attended by 144 citizens.
The next forum session will take place on 25 November 2009 at 2 PM at the restaurant Dedebeg.
