Citizens identified issues in schools and kindergarten Print E-mail

aerodrom_2.jpgAt the second forum session in the Community Forums Programme, which took place in the Elementary School Gjorgjija Pulevski, the residents of Aerodrom identified the problems facing the seven elementary schools and the two kindergartens in the Municipality. The representative of the municipal education sector described the situation with the educational facilities, mostly through photographs of the roofs, facades, windows, doors, toilets, etc.
The attending participants, divided into working tables, identified three priority problems each. This way the residents of Aerodrom identified some 70 problems facing the 5,696 elementary school students.
Next they were categorizes into seven groups, including floor replacement, renovation of toilets, repairs to or replacement of roofs, purchasing teaching aids and equipment, landscaping of school yards, resolving problems with energy efficiency and lighting, and construction and repairs of sports fields.aerodrom_4.jpg
In the following sessions, the residents of Aerodrom will develop projects to address these groups of problems, and in the seventh Session they will choose the project/s to be implemented with the help of the funding from the Community Forums Programme.
The budget amounts to MKD 6.6 million, of which MKD 4 million are a donation by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), MKD 2 million come from the Municipality Aerodrom, and MKD 600,000 are a contribution from the project carriers.
The Community Forum Programme in Municipality Aerodrom is implemented by the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC).
The next forum session will take place on December 23 at 18:30 hours, also at the elementary school Gjorgija Pulevski.
