A total of 115 citizens of Strumica participated in the furth forum session, part of the Community Forums Programme, which took place on November 6 at the ARM House. The session of the budget forum, which is the first one of its kind in Strumica, presented the priorities of the local communities and settlements, as well as an overview of planned expenditures for development programs for rural communities.
 The expenditures for 2010 were presented by the Mayor of the municipality, Zoran Zaev, who underlined he expected to receive proposals for specific projects from citizens, followed by the drafting of the budget program.
 Development programs for settlements were presented, including: Public lighting; Reconstruction of the water supply network in settlements; Local road Popcevo; Construction of local roads and streets in settlements; Sewage in Murtino; Sewage network in settlements; Landscaping in rural areas, and Reconstruction of houses of culture in settlements.
 The Forum discussion included questions to the Mayor, and the participants also identified project proposals within the frame of the budget programme, as well as proposals that would be identified as the Forum's recommendations.
The project proposals include: Works on streets and parts of the city, Asphalting of streets and putting pavements; Water and sewage; Construction of facilities, etc.
 The total budget for the Community Forums Programme, for the budget forum in Strumica, amounts to MKD 6 million, of which MKD 2 million are a contribution by the Municipality and MKD 4 million are a donation from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
