Communal infrastructure was the topic selected by the citizens of Krusevo at the first forum session which took place on September 30 at the elementary school Naum Naumovski Borce.
In the following months, the citizens of Krusevo will discuss problems in their everyday lives which fall under this topic, selected from the three proposed by the Municipality, namely: Environmental Protection, Water Supply, and Communal Infrastructure.
"Our purpose is for you, the citizens, to become actively involved in the Forum in order for us to hear your opinion, so that after the completion of the Programme would have other proposals by you in addition to the implemented projects," said the Mayor of Krusevo, Vasko Damceski.
According to the representative of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Ibrahim Mehmeti, "SDC's investment as a donor is relatively small, but its greatness lies in the fact that this will help establish new and better relations between the municipality and the citizens."
The total budget of the Programme in the municipality Krusevo amounts to MKD 4 million, of which MKD 1 million are a contribution by the Municipality, and MKD 3 million are a donation from SDC.
"These sessions will give you a chance to work together with the Municipality's representatives and give recommendations to help the municipality become more efficient in the protection of citizens' interests," said Suncica Kostovska, representative of FOSIM, the organization implementing the Programme in municipality Krusevo.
In addition to this municipality, the Community Forums Programme is implemented in 11 other municipalities, including Strumica, Mogila, Novaci, Aerodrom, Berovo, Radovis, Konce, Gostivar, Debar, Makedonski Brod, and Bogovinje.
