First session in Radovis - Konce

Over 150 residents attended the first forum session held on October 8 at the restaurant Shamprion in Radovis.  The topic of this intermunicipal Forum, the first one to be held in these municipalities, is Water Supply and Waste Waters. The topic was presented by a representative of the Local Economic Development (LED) sector.  After the presentation, the Forum established the structure by creating nine working tables. These include: Business Sector; Environment; Agriculture; Public Administration; Sports and Recreation; Culture and Tourism; Youth; Education and Public Health.  The session was also attended by the two Mayors – Stojan Lazarov from Municipality Konce and Robert Velkov from Municipality Radovis – who made an appeal to citizens for massive involvement in the addressing of priority issues and promotion of the municipalities.   The intermunicipal forum covers a topic of common interest that requires intermunicipal cooperation, of concern to all municipalities involved.  This type of Forum is open to neighboring municipalities with a similar social and economic profile.  The Forum in the municipalities Radovis-Konce is implemented by the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC), and the total budget for these municipalities amounts to MKD 8 million, of which MKD 2 million are a contribution by the municipality, while MKD 6 million are a donation by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
