The third forum session in the municipality of Strumica, took place on 30 October at the house of ARM, in the presence of 104 citizens from the municipality.

Part of the topics covered at this session was the presentation of the planned expenditures for 2010 as well as the established priorities of the urban communities.
“At the third forum session I will present the perceptions and aspects of the municipality with regards to the future plans for the urban and rural communities, everything that we have within the frames of the infrastructure and public utility facilities for 2010", said the Mayor of Strumica, Zoran Zaev.
He presented the planned projects, such as:
•Extending the street lighting with new lighting poles and lights in the new elite suburbs, the new economic zone near Sachevo and the public enterprise for commodity exchange agroberza.
• Extending the water supply system and the sewage network – new water supply systems in the new elite suburbs.
• In the area of the urban equipment apart from garbage bins the citizens were expected to offer suggestion on additional urban equipment.
• The programme for landscaping and developing of the public areas and greenery states that the landscaping and development of the public areas in front of the residential buildings is planned in partnership with the NGO sector and the citizens.
• Ideas for reconstruction of the old bazaar with the consent and participation at the debates of the owners of the facilities at the bazaar.
• Construction of an open amphitheatre near the city greenery and erecting several monuments.
• Construction of new sidewalks and reconstruction of the existing ones, asphalting the streets, construction of new streets in the new urban blocks, multiannual investments that have already been initiated and are planned to be achieved in 2010.
• Special emphasis was put on the priorities of the municipalities for construction of new city square which is planned to begin at the start of 2010. At the Budget Forum the citizens need to decide on a project from the municipal budget and to provide their own proposals and ideas on the active involvement in the creation of the budget.
