The sixth forum session of the Community Forums Programme took part on June 4 at the restaurant M in the village of Lazani, in the presence of 67 residents of the municipality of Dolneni.
The Forum, as a venue where once a month citizens identify and propose solutions to everyday problems, presented and discussed projects resulting from the previous forums.
They include “Solid waste management in settlements and education of the population – awareness raising”, “Addressing water supply issues in the settlements Zitiste, Dolno Zitose, and Lokveni”, “Riverbed regulation in the settlement Crniliste”, “Improving conditions for sports and recreation in the settlement Dolneni”, and “Increasing wildfire management efficiency in the municipality Dolneni”.
The attending citizens approved all projects, except the fifth one, which was revoked by the proposer because it was over the budget limit.
The Community Forums Programme in the municipality Dolneni is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), in collaboration with the Municipality.
The total budget for the Programme in this municipality amounts to MKD 6 million, of which MKD 1.5 million are a contribution by the municipality, and MKD 4.5 million are a donation by the SDC.
In addition to Dolneni, this phase of the Programme includes seven other municipalities – Kocani, Novo Selo, Bitola, Resen, Berovo, Sveti Nikole, and Saraj.
