Approximately 60 citizens of Bitola took part in the sixth forum session on May 29 at the elementary school Elpida Karamandi in Bitola, within the frames of the Community Forums Programme.

The working groups presented a total of five project proposals, with corresponding objectives, activities and draft budgets, related to issues identified as priorities by the citizens of Bitola in a bid to improve everyday life in the municipality.
Activities at the school in the village of Kishava are aimed at improving the catastrophic conditions of the school yard and, according to the presenter, improve conditions for development of children and youth.
The representatives of the working group praised the professional cooperation between the working group and the school management in the development of the project proposal.
Improvement of public servives in the Dovledzik settlement is the objective of the project proposal designed to address the lack of sewerage and problems with the road and traffic infrastructure.
Proposed activities include – among other things – construction of sidewalks on both sides of the road, identification of street crossings, placement of traffic signs, putting speed bumps around the elementary school Elpida Karamandi and the kindergarten Majski Cvet, as well as paving of sidestreets.
Tumbe Kafe, as a sports and recreational complex, is a project proposal that would contribute to the citizens of Bitola leading better and healthier lives. The presentation included photographs and sketches of the trim track.
The infrastructure of this landmark of Bitola, as well as development of the cultural life in this part of Bitola, are the objectives of the other two project proposals chosen by the Forum. Expected results include revitalization of the Tumba Kafe locale by means of beautification and environment protection, construction of a summer stage, access road, expansion of the ZOO, etc.
The Forum unanimously accepted all project initiatives and agreed to vote on them in the next, seventh forum session, to be held on July 10.
