  The fifth forum session within the frames of the Community Forums Programme was held on 11 May, at the meeting hall of the Municipality Building of Resen in the presence of 75 citizens.

  Six project proposals prepared by the working groups were presented at this forum session which was also attended by the Mayor of the Municipality of Resen, Mr. Mihail Volkanovski. 
    In the upcoming period the forum process needs to select the priority projects which will be realized with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in cooperation with the Municipality.
    The first project proposal “Together for healthy and clean Prespa” refers to equipping the laboratory for testing the harmful impact of the chemical products used in pomiculture. 
  The impact is especially harmful for the health of the people, the air, water and soil. The project proposal also refers to better education of the population on the harmful impact of pesticides which would require an amount of 3.666.000 denars.

  The second project proposal “Landscaping the yard and establishing the ecological - educational and sports-recreational center – EKO Sport” is expected to providing a venue for sports and recreation of young people, as well as raising the environmental awareness of young people through the organization of various sports, educational, and cultural events in this center.
  “Plant for recycling wood processing waste material” is the third project proposal which was presented for the attendants of the Forum. The realization of the project would provide an opportunity to manufacture environmentally safe briquettes to be used for heating in public institutions such as kindergartens, hospitals and schools.  
  “Regulation of the city landfill” is the fourth project proposal which would require an amount of 1.444.000 denars. The plan projects for the landfill to be fenced which would prevent the movement of animals and unauthorized persons through the landfill as well as the regulation of an access road which would improve and expedite the waste transport.
  On behalf of the Mayor of Municipality of Resen, Mr. Engin Bahtijar pointed out that the fifth project proposal “Construction of sewage networks and wastewater treatment plants in the villages near the Prespa Lake could not be developed due to its large scope for which the Municipality does not have sufficient amount of funds to support it.
    The sixth project proposal “Enhancement of the water supply system in Prespa” projects construction of deep wells in the vicinity of the villages Carev Dvor and Stene, as well as the reconstruction of an old reservoir and installation of two new pumps for the pump station in Resen which would enhance the water supply in the respective villages and the town of Resen.
