 Approximately 80 citizens of Bitola attended the fourth forum session of the Community Forums Programme, which took place on February 28 at the Elpida Karamandi elementary school.

 In accordance with the problems identified in the previous sessions, the citizens presented, debated and adopted five draft concepts, with an interesting debate about their priorities for improvement of everyday life in the municipality.
  “Schoolyard Landscaping and Sports Complex in the village Kishava”, with a draft budget of EUR 15,000, is aimed to improve teaching conditions, sports and leisure activities in the schoolyard. Direct beneficiaries of this project proposal include over 110 students and some 40 young people from the village located approximately 20 km south of Bitola.
  “Tumbe Kafe as a Sports and Recreation Complex” is a project proposal about a recreation center for  the city, especially for youth.
The presenters of this working group also presented the draft budget in the amount of EUR 7 million.
  “Tumbe Kafe – Basic Infrastructure” is a project proposal which is necessary – according to the citizens of Bitola – for reconstruction of the waterworks, sewage, electricity and lighting, as a prerequisite for the construction of a summer stage.  This project proposal would cost EUR 30,000.
  “Tumbe Kafe as a Cultural Landmark and Opportunity” – construction of a summer stage, is a project proposal for a tourist and cultural space to host various cultural events. The draft budget for this project amounts to EUR 50,000.
 The fifth project proposal presented by the working groups in this session was “Improvement of public utilities in the Dovledzik settlement”, aimed at improving the infrastructure of the settlement which lacks sewage and road signs. The draft budget for this project would amount to EUR 48,000.
 The active discussions of the citizens contained many questions to the municipal authorities, which responded to the possible solutions to their problems.
 The next, fifth forum session, will be held in April, and in the meantime the final preparations for the project proposals will be made.
