    Approximately 65 citizens of the municipality Dolneni attended the fourth forum session of the Community Forums Programme, which took place on February 25 at the M restaurant in the village Lazhani.

  The attending citizens welcomed the draft concepts and draft budgets developed on the basis of the priority problems, as identified by citizens in line with the topic “Environmental protection”.
     “Regardless which draft concept is adopted, it will be in the interest of citizens,” said Azemina Taric, citizen of the municipality.
    The session presented and adopted the following draft concepts:
-    Addressing the problem with water supply in settlements
-    Improving conditions for sports and leisure
-    Treatment of waste in settlements and education/awareness raising
-    Regulation of riverbeds
-    Protection from fires
  Based on these five draft concepts, working groups were created to explore and identify the current situation in the field, and draft budgets were also proposed for the realization of the projects if the citizens decide to vote in their favor.
   “I come from Sarandinovo, where there’s nothing, so I hope that these proposals will be useful”, said Danco Stojkovski, one of the participants in the Forum.
  The Community Forums Programme aims to support the participatory development of local communities.
  The Forum is a development platform aimed at helping citizens improve their lives through their own ideas and participation.
