    A total of 96 citizens of the municipality Novo Selo attended the third forum session of the Community Forums Programme, which took place on February 28 at the Michel restaurant.

 The working groups, established in line with the priority problems identified by the citizens of Novo Selo during the discussion on the main topic “Communal infrastructure and environment”, presented reports on the three sub-topics from the previous session – water supply and drainage, communal waste, and irrigation channels.
    The priorities identified by citizens include: filter station in Novo Selo; waste containers; clean up irrigation channels in the municipality; works on the riverbed; and change of water supply pipes (i.e. improve drinking water quality).

    The total budget of the Programme in the municipality Novo Selo for the realization of the specific projects chosen by the citizens amounts to MKD 8 million, MKD 2 million are a contribution by the municipality and MKD 6 million are a donation by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
    In addition to Novo Selo, in this phase the Programme is being implemented in seven other municipalities - Berovo, Bitola, Sveti Nikole, Resen, Dolneni, Kocani, and Saraj.
