More than 150 citizens of Debar took part in the sixth session of the Community Forums Programme, casting their vote to choose the three projects to be funded with MKD 6 million, funds from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the local self-government of Debar with MKD 2 million.

The First forum session in the Community Forums Programme took place at the Penestija restaurant in the Debar House of Culture on Friday, 9th May, with the participation of over 80 citizens of Debar.
After the introductory notes by the moderator, Igor Tasevski, the Forum which operated through ten working tables (sports, environment, future, education, elementary education, secondary education, culture, youth, local administration) identified the main problems in the field of education, chosen by citizens in the Zero session.

 During the first forum session held in Debar within the frames of the Community Forum Programme, the citizens of this municipality decided that education is their priority. In the following months through structured discussion they will identify the problems in the area of education in their municipality and will develop projects for overcoming the problems. A fund of 8 million denars has been secured for the implementation of these projects: 6 million denars from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and 2 million from the budget of Debar municipality.
