The Session demonstrated that the goals and priorities of citizens can already be clearly seen in accordance with the global topic of Local Economic Development identified by the citizens on Session Zero.

Spatial infrastructure, education and raising public awareness, and public spaces are the problems identified by the citizens of the municipality of Strumica at the session held on Thursday, 8th May, at the City Army House.
In the presence of some 100 citizens of the municipality and through a lively working discussion, interactive communication and their own ideas, the participants in the first forum session grouped the priority issues according to the type of problems.

 Local economic development is the topic for the debate of Strumica inhabitants during the following months. The debate will be on projects with which they will use the six million denars, donation from the municipality and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
About 120 participants on the first forum session, which started on Thursday, of the Community Forums Programme in Strumica, agreed that due to its broadness the topic Local economic development to be divided in several specific areas like improvement of education conditions, good infrastructure, protection and shelter for vulnerable groups and rural development.
